Tootsie is a queer, disabled, feminist performing artist who likes to stick her fingers in every flavor of artistic pie. She is an actor, burlesquer, clown, storyteller, writer, and director with an emphasis on new and generative work.
As an emcee, Tootsie has hosted events, parties, and story slams for MoPOP, The Moth, She is Fierce, The Pink Door, P(ART)Y, and numerous variety shows and burlesque spectaculars.
As an educator, Tootsie spent several years teaching and touring children's theatre. She currently teaches workshops on comedy movement, theatrical play, and creating safe and respectful artistic working environments. She's taught at BurlyCon, FringeCon, and with The Intiman Emerging Artists Program.
Tootsie is ½ of the comedy duo The Salty Licks and a performer with The Bearenstoned Bears, “America's probably only stoner bear entertainers! Tootsie also serves as the artistic director for The Libertinis, a Gregory Award nominated interdisciplinary performance ensemble who have been delivering a low blow to high art since 2011 and have been affectionately dubbed "bright shiny theatre weirdos" by CityArts Magazine. Above all, she loves being fancy and making fart jokes.
