Tootsie Spangles (She/Her)

After receiving her BFA in acting from Roosevelt University's Theatre Conservatory at Chicago College of Performing Arts, Tootsie Spangles hitched up her wagon and headed west! She is currently based in Seattle,WA.

Tootsie is a queer feminist performing artist who tries to stick her fingers in every flavor of artistic pie. She is an actor, burlesquer, clown, storyteller, writer, and director with an emphasis on new and generative work. She teaches workshops on comedy movement, theatrical play, and creating safe and respectful artistic working environments. She's taught at BurlyCon, FringeCon, and with The Intiman Emerging Artists Program

Tootsie is ½ of the comedy duo The Salty Licks, a rotating cast member and host of Cabaret & Burlesque Behind The Pink Door, and a performer with The Bearenstoned Bears, “Seattle's probably only stoner bear entertainers!" Tootsie also serves as the artistic director for The Libertinis, a Gregory Award nominated interdisciplinary performance ensemble who have been delivering a low blow to high art since 2011 and have been affectionately dubbed "bright shiny theatre weirdos" by CityArts Magazine. Above she loves being fancy and making fart jokes.
